What have Mrs Toogood and Mrs Whitehouse's class been up to?
Term1
We have all made a good start to the year and have been busy working on our topic 'Ourselves'. The children have enjoyed looking at their baby photographs. When we talked about our senses we went on a listening walk around the school and also tasted different fruits. The children were not very keen on the figs and pineapple was the favourite! Some children went outside to learn more about the different parts of the body. They drew around each other and labelled the different parts ( see photos below). We have talked about Autumn and have made some Autumn pictures. The children have also learnt how to write their name in lots of different ways using 'Word Art' on the computers in the ICT suite.
Term 2
Our topic this term is 'Toys'. Many thanks to everyone that has sent in any 'old toys'. The children have really enjoyed looking at them. We have been exploring a really good website on toys during our ICT sessions. If you would like to look at it again at home click on the link below.

This week Miss Dyer has turned our home corner into a toy shop and we shall be using it during our Numeracy lessons. Keep a look out for some photos of us in action coming soon!
